Ketchup
September was a little packed for us now that I look back on it. We went to the state fair and Lagoon one weekend...
Just being a little goofy :)
Enjoying the absolute best thing about the fair (besides friends) FUNNEL CAKE!
'Wicked' was our favorite ride--we rode it three times in a row and probably would have gone once more except they were closing the park!
Then, later in September we got to go on family vacations with both sides of the family! It was so much fun to get to spend time with both sides of our family since we don't get to see them all nearly enough! We love you guys!
First we flew to North Carolina and went to Myrtle Beach with the Berbert clan. I wondered a little if Mark would stress about sharks or jellyfish or something, but he was a regular beach boy! We loved the sand, the sun and the body surfing! We built a small sand castle, rode bikes one day to the pier and played lots of games.

We spent a brief time at home and then we were headed to the annual Pidcock Lake Powell family getaway. Unfortunately Mark and I hardly took any pictures at all since we had our professional photographer on hand (We need to get copies from Becky!) We got to play Bocce, explore the beaches and canyons of the lake, and wakeboard. Mark's mom tried wakeboarding too and is a pro!
Whew- 30 minutes later and we are only caught up through September. Maybe I can get to October this weekend. Stay tuned for the best Halloween costumes ever...

Food Storage and Welfare Square Cannery
Well, here we are with our humble beginings of a food storage. Our Prophet and the Stake are counseling us repeatedly about having a 3 month supply of daily food and a year supply of the basics. We finally had the opportunity to go to the Cannery at Welfare Square to get some supplies. What a wonderful opportunity that was. This experience gave me a strong testimony of the truthfulness of this church and the law of consecration. Just as Nephi said many years ago--he would go and do because the Lord would provide a way to accomplish. The Lord has asked us, through his Prophets, to have a food storage and he has provided a way that is a top of the line operation to accomplish what he has asked. Not only did we pack food for oursleves, we also packed for the shelf which others could pick from later.
