So I realize that the blog has become just a place for me to put cute pics and videos of my baby- I do have other interests and activities in my life, but she is just the most fun part of my life these days and I think she has a much wider appeal than my latest sewing project and/or recipe and/or miscellaneous rant :).
So here is my attempt to have a post that 1. doesn't have one pic of Blue, and 2. has *text* (shocking!) about me and Mark.
Mark is still working on his MBA through the University of Phoenix- he has started the countdown until completion- Less than 5 months! YAY! He got an itouch for Christmas and now I joke that he is mostly physically present, but not psychologically present due to that danged thing! I am glad he likes it, but it makes me feel like his grandma/mom sometimes. I have banned technology from the dinner table and have twice threatened to hide it from him until ____ (fill in the blank). I know he is excited for warm weather, aren't we all, and we are already planning the garden spread for this spring. I am just a little worried that he might sink into the depths of depression once he is done with school. In case you don't know, my husband is very project oriented- he like big projects that take lots of time and work and he totally and completely throws himself into them. Unfortunately we don't have the funds for him to have another yard/house project this summer, so I don't know what I am going to do to keep him sane and happy. Suggestions?
I am loving the stay-at-home mom life. Blueberry keeps me busy, but I have probably gotten to sew more in the last few months than I have in the last few years. I have the best little sewing nook in our dungeon (the concrete basement). The only thing is that it gets pretty chilly down there, one day I was sewing in 35 degree temperatures! Needless to say, it is my favorite naptime activity since I don't dare take her down to the arctic. I sometimes find it hard to go down in the evening when the sun has gone down and the temperature has too. I have 2 big tables that let me spread out all the fabric and a couple of old bookshelves to store all my half-finished projects. If I had made New Years resolutions, it would probably be to finish some of those projects. It is just such a bummer. I have a beautiful afghan that is probably 3/4 of the way done and now I hate the colors. I guess that is what I get for not finishing it years ago! I exercise at least 2 times a week and can feel myself getting stronger and back to my old self. I used to lament by postpartum body, but I have come to terms with it now. Oh well, my own fault for gaining 50 lbs while pregnant! If you haven't had a baby yet- don't do what I did! 50lbs of my skin didn't go back! 30 lbs, maybe, but not 50. Oh well, tankinis aren't all that wonderful anyway right? sigh
So that is my attempt at a real adult post. I know, not that impressive. Oh well, I will post another pic of my babe to make up for it :)

Good post Ashlee!! I enjoyed hearing about the two of you.
And a suggestion for Mark. Come work on a project at our house/yard. Mark and Mark would have fun and we can just hang out with our babes (and maybe help a little bit too)!!!!
I liked reading about your actual life - as cute as Blueberry may be. :)
What colors are the afghan? I have always wanted to buy/make one but simply don't have the money/patience to make it happen. :)
Jen, the afghan is navy, blue, maroon, and *gasp* mauve. Does that give you any idea how long ago I started it?
Sounds like you guys have been quite busy! I didn't know Mark was in school for his MBA, that is awesome and not too much longer to go! We will have to get together soon and play games. We had so much fun playing Bang that we had to go buy it ourselves :)
I agree about the belly skin post-baby. Nobody warns you about that part!
I'm sure you can find things for Mark to do. Maybe school will burn him out enough that he can relax for a week or two.
