Yum!

Someone asked me before if Blueberry actually likes eating blueberries... they must have not known what a finicky eater she really is. I think most of her hangup is texture considering she gagged out foods of a different texture until she was about 12 months old. Anyway, to answer the question- Yes! She eats blueberries! (She just doesn't know it) Oh, the things mothers do for their kids...

Picture taking mood

I have been in a picture taking/posting mood lately. Here are the latest spoils...

CHEESE!

Talking to Gigi under the pillow pile

Hmmm... I thought these pajamas would fit her around Christmas time, but she has surpassed our expectations a little when it comes to growing... snowflakes are cute in September too right? She loves the skirt because we told her it is like Fancy Nancy!

State Fair fun

We saw the balloon man who was making hats for other kids. I did not think she would keep a hat on so we asked for a butterfly. What did Blue do with the butterfly? Put it on her head.

Watching the sea lions (for about 2 minutes until she lost interest and just wanted to dance on the ground to the music)

Beautiful pic Mark!

On the day of The Tantrum. (Yes, it deserves capital letters.)

Stealing mom's glasses at every opportunity

My own glasses now!

Playing in the post-NC luggage

I can share with my baby doll...

green beans!

"Taking care of Dad sure gets old after a while..."

Garden envy?

My cousin came over to our house and told us he had garden envy the other day. I loved that saying! While I love having the fresh homegrown produce, I almost feel like August & September are too overwhelming trying to keep up/preserve some of our hard work. Check out the fruits of our labor...

Blue has a bag of dirt slung over her shoulder. Her first choice was to fill Mark's cargo pockets with dirt, but when he kiboshed that idea she resorted to filling a grocery sack of dirt which then became her "purse". But check out the garden in the background too...

Yummy steaming sweet potato

Zucchini cut and ready for delicious soup

Cantaloupe that was a little overripe :(

A couple batches of canned tomatoes

Cherry tomatoes ready for snacking and dehydrating
The best fruit of our labors- look at that cute little pink face. She came in smelling like sweaty kid. I guess that means she is not my baby anymore!?

Herriman Fire...

Had a couple calls/texts- we are fine! Thanks so much for all your concern!

North Carolina

We got to go back to NC recently to visit my parents and had so much fun!!! Here are some pics...

Blue with her Papa and Gigi- she loves them more than it looks like in this picture, but she was way overdue for a nap!

Our little family (see a peek of New Berry?)

3 generations of women

This is her evil face after just chasing around the cat I think

Rolling around to test out Gigi's new rug

Took her to Monkey Joes- she LOVED jumping around so much!

I took her on the BIG slide

But the little slide was her favorite

She could go down any way she wanted!

We went to the cutest little bakery and Blue got a M&M chocolate chip cookie and proceeded to first pick out all the M&Ms, then the chocolate chips, then eat the rest!
Found one!

I think she loved the treat!

My parents neighborhood pool was still open so we took advantage of that and swam every morning we could!

Looks like she is totally posing!

We went down to Myrtle Beach for a couple days too!

She could not get enough of the water! The first time she went in the ocean and a wave came up I was nervous... Her reaction? More, more, MORE!

The hotel had a cool big slide

And of course she loved playing in the sand

I built Mark a six pack :)

While Blue crushed all our attempts at a sandcastle

With Papa and Gigi

She loved playing with the "tatty" who says "mowh"

My mom got a cute "paper doll" quilt for Blue

She was a trooper on the plane rides- here is our connection in Chicago

So much fun! Thank you Papa and Gigi for such a great visit!
