On to September

Here are a bunch of pictures of the girls and our goings on during September:

Just playing away- sitting surrounded by toys and loving it!

We have an old refrigerator box that we made into a house for Blue. We kept it folded in the basement for a rainy or bored day and I pulled it out so she could play in it.

She was loving making dinner

and feeding her baby

She even asked me to put a blanket on her baby's head for a ponytail!

She loved playing out on the swing set. She climbed all over it at least as much as she would swing!

Swinging together with her baby sister :)

Little 'tude there or something

We have a tradition of going to the State Fair with some of our good friends

Blue loved the huge slide and wanted to go "again, again!"

They had a little area there called the helping hands farm where kids got to go through and do things like they are done on a farm. At the end they sold their items at the market and earned money to buy something at the store. The kids loved it!

Brushing the sheep

Planting the seeds

Harvesting

It was precious!

They also had a Lego area that was awesome- here is Carli being eaten by the Lego lion

When we ate dinner on the patio Blue would usually finish first and ride her trike, scooter or play on the swing set. Blue was so sweet to let Carli ride with her a little one day!

I thought this way she was sleeping was hilarious!

Carli is always sticking out her tongue or doing silly things with it

Blue found this dress that a neighbor gave us and wanted to wear it everyday (because it is twirly). She wore crown and all out one day...

Carli was particularly messy one night and we didn't have time for a bath- so she got a quick wash in the sink! She just wanted to eat the faucet...

In September we got to go to North Carolina to visit my parents and for my 10- year High School reunion. (That I helped plan- yikes!)

The girls were really good on the plane

The headphones were too big for Blue so we improvised

And she got comfortable!

Mark and I got to take a day to go to the theme park Carowinds. I realized that I still LOVE roller coasters. Mark however officially assigned himself to be the stroller attendant from here on out (after 2 doses of Dramamine and still feeling sick).

In September there were little or no lines- it was awesome to get to get off a ride and right back on. I think we rode drop zone 20 times! (hmm... maybe that is why Mark was so sick?)

Carli- chewing on anything in sight. As usual.

My Great-Aunt and her son (my second cousin?) came up one day and we got to visit with them.

Blue liked to exercise like Gigi

She got a matching outfit for her baby and her to wear together :)

We went to the museum one day- Carli has no fear! She was pretty determined to grab that red thing on the chicken!

Our little family

I don't know if Blue getting attacked was supposed to be part of the puppet show?

Daddy's baby girl :)

Blue was not too stoked to see the snakes

Carli was stoked to touch all the furs

They had a cave exhibit where the kids could crawl around and through- Carli wanted to participate, but can't crawl, so she had to settle for trying on a helmet.

Blue tried on the helmet too:)

She wanted me to climb in the cave with her

But she had to climb out the tiny hole herself

Climbing around with Dad

We met one of my friends at the park one day and let the kids play- Mark was playing with the telephoto lens and took a ton of cute pictures. She has twins that are close in age to Carli

Blankets- once again the best source of entertainment

Porch monkeys outside Cracker Barrel

We went to a fun Children's museum in Charlotte. It was sooo cute and fun. And, unlike Utah, not totally overrun with kids! So we got to play with pretty much everything without having to wait or fight off a hoard of other kids.

Carli drove the tractor

While Blue practiced on the balance beam

Mark and Carli booked the flights (Blue loved loading the luggage and flying the airplane!)

Carli was also a firefighter for a bit

While Blue was the mechanic

Fixing the car was a favorite stop- she has seen and "helped" Mark do it plenty of times!

She was also pretty excited to drive the boat!

Carli's favorite was the water station

Although, if she was mobile I am sure she would have liked the baby area more

Gigi even liked the gear puzzle piece thing

And Mark and I had a blast building miniature roller coasters. Seriously! It was fun- especially after just having had a day at the amusement park

My girls were tired and snuggly

Off to somewhere else!

Check out sweaty head Blue after playing at Monkey Joes!

And this is me and Mark right before the reunion

I am so thankful I have such great travelers! Carli was a gem and happy amid the chaos

When we got back all the places had started their fall programs again, so we have been going to the library a lot- story times, puppet shows, the works! Blue loves it all!

Dancing with one of her favorite friends

One last ponytail pic :)

And a peek at Carli's newest addition
